On December 31st we went to Osceola to visit with Troy's family. It turns out that we drove through a storm that spawned some tornados but thankfully, we only experienced heavy rains, a little hail and high winds. The unusual weather did produce some frost flowers which Troy and Ann found while walking at the ranch the next day. During this visit we did exchange some gifts.

Troy went on his first work trip of the year to Ft. Worth, TX. He attempted to take some honey for some of his coworkers. American Airlines fine baggage handling broke the lids on 2 of the 5 containers of honey. It was a big mess but his coworkers that got some honey did enjoy it. Turns out that Texas can be pretty cool in the winter too - there were icy roads some mornings in Ft. Worth where sprinklers were still going. When he got home there was nice sign on the door to greet him.

We got a little snow in January. As you can see from the tarp on the sawdust pile Troy still had plenty of work to do mulching the blueberries.

Troy's brother Michael brought his family back from China for a visit and here are some pictures from that family gathering.
