In May Troy went to Oklahoma City for an audit and then on to Portland, OR for a conference. Near the end of May there was a hail storm at church while Ann and the girls were cleaning. Here are some of the hailstones that they found.

In the fall of 2010 Troy found some large cocoons out in the blueberry field. We were not sure what they were from but we put them up in the rocks by the front porch and these are what came out of them in May.

It turns out those cocoons contained what would become some very beautiful moths.

May also brought some of the 13 year cicadas out. They did cause a lot of damage to our blueberry bushes and some of our young paw paw trees. They were interesting to see as they came up and they were not loud for the first few weeks but then they did get really loud.

Here they are working over our apple tree.
