October 2011

In October Elizabeth turned 8 and she wanted to go eat Indian food. Ann and Troy had their 15th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, Troy was in Kansas so it just wasn't the same celebrating with his coworkers as it would have been with Ann. When Troy got home they did watch their wedding video with the girls and told them stories about the event.

Troy also traveled to New Hampshire for an assessment. He had never been there before so he was able to mark that state of his list. As Ann watched his receipts online she noticed that he was actually eating at a soup place while he was there. This was very unusual because Troy does not normally like soup and does not often choose to eat soup if there are other options. The place did have a nice selection of vegetarian food.

We traveled down to Elephant Rocks State Park one Sabbath afternoon only to find it over run with boyscouts. Cars were parked out past the Park gates so we decided to continue on down to Johnson Shut-ins State Park. We had a really good time climbing around on the rocks and up the trail.

If you have never seen the shut-ins they are quite amazing - even with the low water levels. Troy and Abigail climbed across the river and back several times even though they were not dressed for climbing.

Abigail and Troy are in the middle of the river in a relatively stable place to stand but then they do have to get back down and across with out getting wet - notice Troy has his phone - so much for safety...

Elizabeth and Lynell are climbing around too. Lynell likes to take pictures and Elizabeth likes to pose. Here is another shot of the shut-ins.

Ann had the camera most of the time and she took pictures of Lynell (her mom), Abigail, Troy and Elizabeth.
