November 2016

Troy started off November at the National Mine Health and Safety academy at an accident investigator retraining class. The next Monday he was sent to Nevada to investigate an accident - talk about good timing to put some new training techniques to use. The night after the election was over there was a large power outage in Nevada. The hotel/casino where Troy was staying had an emergency generator but the only thing on the generator was the gambling equipment...

We had a nice quite Thanksgiving meal at home.

Sparkle was on the table one day during some of these studying activities and got to spend some time in the scriptures.

The girls made some cookies and had Troy help them decorate a few.

This November we also harvested our first pecan from the trees Troy's parents gave us shortly after we moved to this house. We are hopeful that next year there will be more but we are still trying to decide if we should eat this lonely pecan or plant it.
