October 2021

We started October off with a couple of baptisms at our church. Both of these young women have been studying scriptures and getting to know Jesus better.

We received this beautiful bouquet from our close friends while Ann was recovering in the hospital. We are so thankful for the prayers and thoughts from our friends and family.

We continue to have apple trees flowering out of season.

We finally got the Escape in to the dealer and the transmission was bad. The downside from there was that a replacement transmission was on back order. The dealer anticiapted another 3 weeks until the replacement showed up. Unfortunately, the insurance only paid for a rental car during the actual repair. We were blessed to have another vehicle so we were not stranded at home.

Elizabeth made this interesting tangle art creation for fun.

Abby came home for a very short fall break. We were very glad to have her home and it coincided with Elizabeth's birthday.

Elizabeth's birthday celebration involved a meal, some pie and presents. Troy's parents came over and we enjoyed spending some time and a meal with them. Here are a few pictures from the festivities.

Elizabeth made another brick of soap. It took a about 3 days to setup then she cut it into bars. You cannot tell but it smells like oranges.

Our new neighbor cleared our fence row to the back property line

Ann's new kidney function dramatically decreased and she went back in the hospital. After a number of test it was determined there was fluid on the new kidney. We recommend that you spend your 25th wedding anniversary somewhere other than in the hospital, like we did.

The unusually warm weather was making our snap dragons happy.

Our asparagus plants put out a lot of seeds again this year. Troy picked part of the seeds one afternoon to scatter around the place.
