We started the month with some unusual clouds and storms. We did not get any rain from this storm but another one gave us 4.5 inches of rain in 12 hours.

Troy's brother and his family traveled to the US. While they were here they also visited us.

Troy continued his recovery in August and during that time had another stroke. He has been blessed to recover from this stroke as well.

Abigail started her dietetics internship at the VA in St. Louis. We are very happy that she will be staying at home during her internship so we can spend more time with her as she takes this next step in her professional life.

The paw paws began to get ripe and we started to harvest them a few at a time.

We are not too thrilled to have thistles in the area but the symmetry and order clearly speak of the Creator.

We caught a number of animals coming to eat our garden produce and/or paw paws.

We observed some lightning and rain nearby but none here.

We had some flowers coming up.

Here is a paw paw that are ripe and ready to eat.

These are some sunsets we were blessed with in August.

We had a turtle in the yard again.
