Troy started off the year in Osceola helping his parents. He went to the ranch and someone was parked at the back gate of the ranch when he checked it. He took some pictures of Bear Creek after the visitors left.

We went to visit Troy's family and we stayed in a hotel the night before we arrived. Turns out it was a good thing we did. Ann had a headache the next morning and tested positive for COVID. We drove by and spoke to Troy's parents through the sun room and then went home. Abby tested positive when we got home and this delayed her return to Andrews. Troy and Elizabeth didn't test positive for COVID even with 7 hours of close contact in the vehicle..

We got a little snow. We played in the snow a little and tried to find a good place to sled a little. Sparkle didn't think too much of the snow.

Troy's dad called him to come over and help get him registered in hospice. A few days later there was a fire on the Osceola square and a number of businesses were destroyed. Troy was working on a list of things his dad wanted to get done around the house but Jerry passed away within a week of Troy coming over. Troy helped his mom make arrangements during this difficult time. At some point we will have a memorial for Jerry but we are not sure when that will occur.

With all the difficutlies of January we were blessed with some amazing sunsets that reminded us that God is with us especially in the most difficutl times of life.
