Mailbox Vandalism

Our mailbox was vandalized several more times in March.

Troy made some additional modifications to the mailbox and the protective cover to reduce the damage vandals could do to the mailbox. We also have been trying to catch the vandals. We have made some notes as we reported the vandalism to the police. Based on that information we have been recording the road near the mailbox with our new video camera. So far we have not been successful in catching the vandals. The week on March 15th a lot (about 150) of mailboxes on our road were vandalized. Ours was not one of them this time but several of our neighbors had their mailboxes destroyed. It must be that the vandals saw us putting out the camera because the vandalism has stopped for now.
