Troy received a job offer from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Tulsa, OK. This is only 5 hours from home instead of the 12-14 hour drive from Denver. We were very excited about the opportunity to be closer and have Troy home more often.

Elizabeth graduated from the 8th grade and is looking forward to starting high school in the fall.

Ann and the girls went to Michigan to visit Ann's family. They were able to visit with most of her family while they were there.

When the pool opened for the summer Abigail began lifeguarding again.

Troy went to an alpaca show in Denver and got an up-close look at them. These are some of his friend Heather's animals.

Troy was asked why he had not requested a transfer within MSHA. He submitted the transfer paperwork and the process was what you might typically think of as a dysfunctional government process. He told Ann it would take a miracle for the transfer to go through before his start date with the USACE.

Troy enjoyed a trip to the Suri Charismahhh alpaca ranch his friend Heather operates in Colorado. The alpacas were a little skidish around him, but they didn't spit on him. It was a pleasant change from all hustle and bustle of Denver.

Troy's travel orders came through from the USACE and we went to Tulsa to look for a house. While we were there we had a very nice visit with Ann's college suitemate Tammy and her family. We met a realtor who really worked with us to help us find a place that we would enjoy. She helped us find a place we wanted to make an offer on but the seller's realtor would not give us an old inspection report so we waited to see if our realtor could get it.
