Abby participated in "Change Day" at Andrews. She volunteered and helped clean Rocky Gap Beach on Lake Michigan.

Troy started Module 1 of mine inspector training at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beckley, WV. He was there for three weeks. He is requried to perform one hour of physical activity each day of class. He frequently chose to walk the trail around the academy perimeter. You can see the view from his room and some of the fungus he saw growing on the academy grounds. The access card next to the one fungus will give you an idea of the size of the stalk.

Troy noticed an unusual ant nest. The ants had worn a path in their travels.

He liked walking at Little Beaver State Park which is only a few miles from the Academy. It is criss-crossed with numerous trails.Here are some pictures from his walks.

One weekend Troy went to a Carolina Panthers game with one of his classmates. They were 12 rows from the field and it was unusual to watch a game not really caring who won.

Elizabeth made a zebra cake while Troy was at the Mine Academy. Ann and Elizabeth both thought it was very tastey but by the time Troy got home it was all gone.

We had a youth Sabbath the last Sabbath of the month. Here are some pictures of the service they were leading.
