Troy came home from the Mine Academy. He was there and missed his wedding anniversary. He brought Ann some flowers as a small token of his love.
It snowed a little and Elizabeth made the most of the snow.
Troy went to MSHA HQ to speak at an industry event. It snowed and was messy while he was there so the office was somewhat empty.
Abigail came home from college for the first time. We were very glad to have her back home for a few days. Troy drove up and picked her up along with another student who lives in the St. Louis area. On the way back traffic was bad around Chicago so they went around the area. They took backroads for about an hour and one car stayed right behind them. When they stopped at a gas station the car pulled in behind them. An older lady rolled her window down and told them she was a little old grandma just trying to get back to Missouri. She had been following them for an hour because of the Missouri license plate but every time her GPS said to turn they had been turning so she just kept following.
Elizabeth made a blueberry pie and Abigail made a molasses roll. They were both tasty.
After much preparation Elizabeth passed her driver's permit test. Now she is getting some driving practice in preparation for getting her drivers license.
We went to Troy's parents house for the holiday and we enjoyed spending some time with them and Grandpa Carley. We also had a nice Thanksgiving meal at home.
Ann and Elizabeth took Abigail and the other student back to school. They decided to go straight to Ann's grandma's house that night instead of staying in a hotel near campus then driving in the morning. It snowed over 7 inches so it was a good call. They had a nice visit and enjoyed the snow before heading home.
