Southern California 2012

Troy went to southern California for a second time this year. This time where he stayed was very different than the desert view he had before. From his room he could look right out at the ocean. If you look very closely you can see a couple of lights on the horizon and those are oil platforms. He could see about 8 of them at night when it wasn't foggy.

Of course, he started out in California with what many people think of when they think about California - traffic and bad drivers. It took Troy and his car about an hour to go 5 miles because of an accident.

There were some nice palm tree lined streets

The hotel was very nice and it even had fountains that extended down into the parking garage. Troy did go out to the beach one day when the wind wasn't sandblasting everything and the water was very cold when he stepped in.

At the place where they were working there were some very interesting and yummy cupcakes.
