In January Ann and the girls resumed homeschool. We also made time to attend the vegetarian supper club and this month they had some yummy breakfast food.

In mid January Michael and Sophie came back for a visit and we went to see them at Troy's parents house in Osceola. Troy had been studying with a young person at church and in January the pastor let him baptize Marta. Troy's first trip of the year was to Las Vegas, NV. He wasn't too excited about going there but he needed to attend some training and it turns out that while he was there Revelation Today was being presented by It Is Written (IIW). You may see programs produced by IIW on TV. The speaker for IIW is John Bradshaw and he was in St. Louis about 10 years ago and he preached a prophecy seminar at the church where Ann and Troy attend. He was sure surprised to see Troy in Las Vegas. Troy was able to take a picture with John and his children and also got a picture of Melissa when she was singing during the meeting.

While Troy was in Las Vegas he attended the Paradise Seventh-day Adventist church that was rebroadcasting 3ABN radio with a low power AM transmitter. Troy is the audiovisual leader at his church and he was very interested about doing the same thing from his church.

Troy also did a lot of walking around in Las Vegas. He seemed to have to walk a long way to find good vegetarian food. The walks gave him time to take in some of the sights. Some of his favorites were the dancing fountains. The picture on the left is from the parking garage where he usually ended up parking. This give you an idea of how high the water shoots up. Two of Troy's coworkers were at Seminar Fest as well. They went down to see the lions at the MGM casino.

When you come to visit us, you may see some pictures drawn by children that do not live in our house on the side of our refrigerator. We have sponsored children through Reach International for more than 10 years and we are doing so again this year. We encourage you to prayerfully consider sponsoring a child.
