Our month started off sadly when our cat Cloud passed away. In some ways it was a blessing because she had not been well for some time.

Ann, Abby, and Elizabeth went to Johnson's Shut-in State Park for Abby's birthday. We all enjoyed watching her open presents and the cake.

We had a cardinal nest in the crepe mytle tree at the edge of the blueberry patch. A neighbor's cat was very interested in the tiny chirps but the raccoons and a storm ended up doing the baby birds in.

We made a trip to Iowa for Troy's Grandpa Carley's 95th birthday. Troy's Aunt Jeanie, cousin Brittany, and her daughter Carley were there too. Because of COVID there was a parade of vehicles with friends and neighbors.

There was a fatal motorcycle accident on the curve just north of our house. The rider had been missing for about 10 days so the authorities were on the scene for a long time when our neighbor discovered the accident scene.

Abby went to Camp Hertiage for Disciple Trek and to work on camp projects. Abby got to use a nail gun and some other tools as she worked on the medicine lodge. She drove part of the way back with her friend from Andrews, Elianna.

Troy continued to work on the accident investigation.

There were some unusual works on the paw paw trees this month.
