Elizabeth's Bible class has been much more art project intensive than in the past. She had to make a sclputure in the linkess of the metal man described in the vision given to King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 2. She put in a lot of thought and work to make this image that describes the major earthly kings before the coming of God to set up His everlasting kingdom.

Troy took a week off work to help his Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Gary clean out Grandpa Carley's house. It was a lot of work and a lot of stairs but they got it done. Troy ended up renting a U-Haul trailer to bring home some items, including the dining room table and china cabinet. He has a lot of things to sort through that he did not have time to do in Iowa. He found some old safety committee meeting reports from the early 1970's which were shortly after the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 established the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). These are right up his alley being a safety and health professional. There were several chests in the basement but this one was not empty. It has a couple of empty candy valentine containers, a bundle of lace, and some documents. We hope to read the documents later to see if there are any clues to who owned the things in this chest.

COVID caused Abby to have a shortened semester and early finals. She came home just before Thanksgiving. Abby did not really experience any of the normal Michigan winter before coming home for break this year.

This year we ate Thanksgiving dinner on some china that we brough home from Grandpa Carley's house. The old napkins were some Troy found that came up to Iowa many years ago that he had when he was a child. It was just us at home with the COVID-19 restrictions. We have enjoyed many blessings of the Lord this year. One of our biggest recent blessings was that our old 87 Silverado "rattle-trap truck" made it to Iowa and came back pulling a trailer without any breakdowns or trouble starting.

We had to rearrange our living room to accomodate some of the furniture Troy brought back from Iowa. The girls were sharing space on the couch to watch TV.
