This monarch caterpillar was munching on some milkweed out in the berry patch.
We have been taking more pictures of our cats this year since we realize they are in their sunset years and we won't have them indefinetly.
We had some pretty morning glory flowers out in the berry patch.
This year we constructed coverings for our squash plants to keep out those destructive bugs. The only problem was the cover also kept out the bees so we had to hand pollinate them. That may be why we also had some strange squash fruit this season on the male flowers.
One of our most faithful blueberry pickers was seriously injured in an accident just down the road from our house. This was the night before Troy and a neighbor met with a MODOT engineer about two fatal motorcycle accidents near our home earlier this summer. In the end, MODOT said these accidents were driver error and not a highway problem.
We continued to enjoy flowers as summer was coming to a close.
We found some very yellow worms on a bush in the berry patch late this season.
