Eclipse 2017

We took a lot of pictures of the eclipse. Here some as we eagerly prepare for totality.
Totality arrives and we take pictures of the sun directly with our cameras. These pictures really don't do it justice.
It was somewhat dark as you can see from the picture during totality but not as dark as we thougth it might be.
You can see some of the corona around the moon but it was much more pronounced looking up.

We took a number of pictures through the protective eyewear devices as the sun emerged from totality. Here are these pitures.
We stayed out for a little while and watched the sun emerge with our glasses. We think the glasses may be useful to watch for sunspots during other times.
