In February Troy traveled to Syracuse, NY where it snowed, Diboll, TX where it was nice and warm then he traveled to West Palm Beach, FL where it was warm and he received a mild sunburn but there was no sympathy for that at home or the office.
Troy's birthday was in February and among his presents were a nut cracker and a new pillow. The pets all wanted to be part of the action too and Lady was begging for attention in the shot below.
Elizabeth lights the candles under Abigail's watchful eye and Troy got the candles blown out. You will note our banana trees in the background. This was the second year with them inside for the cold months in hopes of some fruit this summer.
The cold brought the covey of quail into our front yard again.
They are pretty shy but sometimes we can get some close-up pictures before we frighten them away.
It was cold enough that we were able to get out on the pond again this winter. The downside was that we had ice for so long that all of our fish died.
